Terraria will no longer be coming to Google Stadia

The CEO of ReLogic, the studio behind the 2-D sandbox indie hit Terraria announced on his Twitter that the game would no longer be coming to Google stadia.

Andrew Spinks made the decision to cancel the game on Stadia after his Google accounts had been locked by the company and rendered inaccessible for nearly a month.

Over a series of Tweets he described how he had followed all of Googles usual steps to appeal a false terms of service violation, but to no avail. Spinks say’s that he is still unable to access his Gmail, Google Drive, Google Play and YouTube accounts, and still hasn’t received any direct communication from Google on the matter.

"I will not be involved with a corporation that values their customers and partners so little,” he said on Twitter. "Doing business with you is a liability."

Despite this ReLogic has stated that they will still support its game on Android and Google Play. Although Spinks maintains that his studio will boycott Google platforms going forward.

Cyberpunk2077 and The Witcher 3 source code allegedly sold at auction following CD Projekt Red Hack

Hackers have reportedly sold the game source code for Cyberpunk2077 and The Witcher 3 as well as other information stolen from the Polish game dev studio CD Projekt Red.

Earlier this week CD Projekt red released a statement explaining that it had been the target of a cyber-attack. On Twitter the company explained an unidentified actor had breached its systems and collected data belonging to CD Projekt Red and was threatening to release the content if they could not come to an agreement.

CD Projekt Red said it would not participate with ransom demands or negotiate to regain its data, so the hackers auctioned off the source code.

A report from darknet intel service KELA has claimed, that a "satisfying offer" was accepted. It's not clear how much the source code was sold for, though the purchaser is said to have paid enough they could stipulate the data would not be distributed or sold further.

Forza Horizon 4 coming to Steam next month

Microsoft is bringing the Forza franchise to Steam for the first-time next month.

The latest game in the series, Forza Horizon 4, will launch on Steam March 9th.

Pc players will be able to play with the millions of Forza gamers already on Xbox as the game features cross platform play.

The game was released in 2018 and was developed by Playground games who have improved the game with expansions and new game modes over time.

It remains to be seen whether or not any of the other Forza titles will be coming to Steam, but Microsoft has already been releasing many of its biggest Xbox titles to the platform, including the Halo series and Gear of Wars 5. So maybe in the future more Forza games will be added.

Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 unlikely to get 2021 Releases

Activision doesn’t expect Blizzards Overwatch 2 or Diablo 4 to release in 2021, it has said.

During the call it was reported that the company did make “significant progress” on its in-development titles for “other key intellectual properties,” which the company expects to “fuel further growth in 2022 and beyond.”

The latest Minecraft snapshot showcases the new cave generation system

Mojang has released a new playable Minecraft snapshot allowing players to experience the new cave system that will be coming in the highly anticipated Caves & Cliffs update.

The update is expected to be the biggest one in the history of Minecraft, and t will feature plenty of new content for fans to enjoy.

Snapshots are essentially a testing-version of planned updates in Minecraft Java Edition that the developers use as a way to address and gather feedback directly from the community.

The latest snapshot, 21W06A, focuses on the cave generation aspect of the Caves and cliffs update. To download the latest snapshot, open the Minecraft launcher, select the installations tab and toggle ‘Enable Snapshots’.

Cave generation is only a part of the planned update, new mobs such as Axolotl, a peaceful amphibious creature that can be tamed to accompany players like wolves and Ocelots are being added.

A new hostile Mob, The Warden is also coming. This mob is a giant subterranean monster that will roam the deepest caves and tunnels, always on the hunt for unsuspecting players.

While no official release date has been confirmed, the update is likely to arrive either during the Spring or Summer this year.

Hardware Recap

Sony faces a potential class action Lawsuit due to controller drift

The Ps5’s DualSense controller is allegedly suffering from the same Drift issues that plagued the Nintendo Switch’s Joy cons.

US Law firm, Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith (CSK&D), is looking into the potential for a class action lawsuit by asking for customers affected by DualSense drift to get in contact via an online form.

"CSK&D is investigating a potential class action based upon reports that Sony PS5 DualSense controllers for the PlayStation 5 console can experience drift issues and/or fail prematurely," the firm said.

"Specifically, it is reported that the joystick on certain PS5 DualSense controllers will automatically register movement when the joystick is not being controlled and interfere with gameplay."

CSK&D are already behind the ongoing lawsuit against Nintendo over drift issues with their controllers which was filed back in 2019.

While it is currently unclear whether or not DualSence drift is as widespread an issue as Joy con drift, Kotaku has reported that there have been numerous reports online from as early as two months ago.

Chinese GPU Miners reportedly bulk Buying gaming Laptops

Chinese GPU miners are reportedly buying up Nvidia’s new GeForce RTX 30 laptops to mine Cryptocurrency.

Nvidia’s latest gaming laptops have become increasingly popular in China as a tool for mining Ethereum according to multiple sources.

Media outlet VideoCardz posted pictures of the Laptops stacked on top of one another being used in crypto mining farm.

According to estimations from Techrap, one GeForce RTX 3060 laptop can potentially generate up to around 2.3 ETH per year ($3,900) at the current prices, apparently being able to cover up the cost of the laptop and energy costs in China.

Although its unclear as of yet just how much this will affect the laptops availability, it certainly seems that hardware shortages are going to persist well into 2021.
