Rockstar paid Modder $10,000 for fixing GTA Online’s load times
The modder who figured out a fix for GTA Online’s excessive load times was paid $10,000 by Rockstar games for his troubles.
The fix went live as part of the GTAV Title Update 1.53. Rockstar even shouted out the modder in the update, “Thanks to t0st for his contributions around this part of today’s title update,” it read.
T0st isn’t the first person Rockstar has paid out $10,000 to. The company currently has a bounty program running where anyone who can find any privacy and security issues in their games is eligible for a $10,000 reward.
Even though T0st’s contribution wasn’t a security issue Rockstar paid him from the program as an ‘exception’.

Terraria has sold over 35 million copies.
The games developer Re-Logic announced the news in an update on the official forums.
The game has now overtaken Portal 2 to become Steams highest rated game of all time.
“We remain hard at work on the litany of updates across the board as we press forward into 2021,” the developers said in a statement on the official forums.
“The momentum for Terraria has never been stronger than it is right this moment. When you add that to what is still to come this year with Console Journey's End, Steam Workshop Support, getting to parity content for everyone... and then the possibility of crossplay down the line (we hope!), you could easily say that Journey's End may have arrived, but the journey for Terraria is far from over!” they said.
What is Forspoken ?
Forspoken is an open world adventure game in development from Luminous Productions, a part of Square Enix that is coming to PS5 and PC.
The game was first shown to audiences last year when it was still using its working title PROJECT ATHIA.
During SQUARE ENIX PRESENTS earlier this week the developers revealed the games official name and gave fans a glimpse of the games world and characters.
Players will take on the role of Frey Holland - played by Ella Balinska - who Square Enix describes as an "ordinary young woman who must harness her magical abilities to survive" in a "beautiful yet cruel world".
The trailer which can be found on Squares YouTube channel makes it seem like the developers have concentrated a lot on making fun traversal mechanics.
The game is planned to launch in 2022 and will be a PS5 exclusive for 2 years.
Nvidia accidently unlocked RTX 3060 Ethereum mining
Last month Nvidia claimed that a special system would make their RTX 3060 card undesirable for crypto miners, but Nvidia has now confirmed that it has accidentally unlocked those restrictions with a new driver.
“A developer driver inadvertently included code used for internal development which removes the hash rate limiter on RTX 3060 in some configurations,” san Nvidia spokesperson said in a statement to Verge. “The driver has been removed.”
Even though Nvidia has now removed the driver its too late. Mirrors of the driver can easily be found online, and Nvidia won’t be able to prevent RTX 3060 owners from continuing to use this driver in the future.
AMD on the other hand has confirmed that it will not be blocking any workload on its Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics processing units.
