AMD have revealed the packaging for the upcoming Ryzen Threadripper as well as keeping fans hyped with repeatedly saying how soon the processor will be coming out.

The new top dog CPU from AMD is set to be "on shelf in early August."Â With the 10th being thrown around as the possible big day. The packaging certainly is different and while I'm all for some shiny new packaging, I am more interested in what its carrying and how the performance will live up to the hype. Lisa Su, the current CEO of AMD, also sent out her own tweet to show off the packaging and give us all a sense of scale.Â

So far, all signs point to Threadripper being a successful release as it is following in its little brothers footsteps, the success of Ryzen 7 and 5 have most people rightfully hopeful of the new 12 & 16 core monsters due out soon. We already knew that the smallest member of the family "Ryzen 3" is due out the 27th of this month but AMD were on hand to remind keen fans of this point. It may not be as flashy as the upcoming Threadripper but I suspect the new R3 to become the new King of budget CPU. Featuring a fully fledged quad core but at a rumored budget price, ~$100, the new R3 1200 & 1300x are all set to take over from Intel's wonderly performing Kaby Lake Pentium range, this of course is depending on that key point of the price
